Hey!
I've been playing around on Beta, and with glyph of Slice and Dice, and Glyph of Eviscerate, i am running this build

http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?rogue=02520510002050152131005010000053200050000000000000000005000000000000000000000000000

might be ourbuild to use as of right now, pretty nice fer levelling (which is what i have been doing)..
I need to go find me a "target Dummy" to get rotations and stuff, but at least this is a start in the right direction!

I think for leveling you'd want to avoid SnD, rupture and garrote, something more like:

that may be correct..
i am currently levelling (still level 70) and testing several raid builds (as we're getting these redone trees next week)
this isnt a levelling build.. its a 3.0.2 raiding build -- which will be relevant next tuesday....

i've also been playing around with a 5/51/5 build as well.. only glyph i now have is a Glyph of Slice and Dice... need to get a Glyph of Sinister Strike

DPS wise, for raids, i'm looking at it to be slightly better than the 15/41/5 above (using the test dummies, of course)

here is the 5/51/5 build
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?rogue=02520520002050152231005012510050000000000000000000000005000000000000000000000000000

the huge key is the glyphs..... i really want to test it on beta with the 2 glyphs mentioned above (fuck me fer getting into beta, since i cant use PTR now)

i am also having a bitch of a time with the fucking rotations.. it isnt as "brainless" as it used to be. looks like there might be a need to mix in some sorta filler finishers (since SnD and Rupture are all out of synch)
i've tested a 4s/5r ..... 3s/5r ..... 4s/5r/2evis/4s its driving me batty, fer sure... and working in Killing spree (which is VERY interesting) is another mess entirely!
its a different feel for sure...
also, of note, no matter where you stand on the stupid target dummies, they parry you... which also throws the whole testing off....

Go figure!

Yeah, I noticed that even when I was playing before with relentless strikes and ruthlessness that perfect rotations were hard to come by. I haven't looked too much at the new abilities, but do they add any finishers that might be worthwhile? Otherwise I guess you'd just have to dump an eviscerate just to make sure you're not capping out your energy. As for the glyph of SS, it's pretty freakin wicked (though actual % is something like 12% with 30% crit, up to 16% raid buffed I'd say), but I noticed pre-bc with seal fate that the extra combo points were more likely to throw me off than actually help. For raiding I might almost go with the glyph of rupture, figure open with a 1pt rupture on trash, and then have that much more time in your rotation on boss fights to sneak in an eviscerate or something.

The parries Prad, stand BEHIND it. >.>

On a side note the mechanics of the dummy are good though. With them actually having mob based dodge and parry (though I do not know at what level) You can test out some expertise as well.

Huh. Maybe my expertise is better than I thought cause I stood behind it for all my tests and was not getting many at all on PTR. About the same number I normally get.

So yeah... 2 glyphs we will ahve access to, as soon as 3.0.2 hits on tuesday, are Glyph of Sinister Strike, and Glyph of Slice and Dice.
Finishers? its pretty much the same old shit fer Combat. We do get the gnarly Killing Spree, but it doesnt seem to use CP's.. and is just another thing that will seem to throw off our rotations every 2 min. I highly expecrt to sneak Envenoms/Eviscerates in somewhere to preserve my sanity...

Glyphs can be seen here... http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?items=16.4
Slice and Dice = http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=42973
Sinister Strike = http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=42972

We're not gonna see the Rupture one untill WotLK because it needs Northrend Herbs

that, and we're only getting 2 glyph spots at 70.. the third comes at 80.

WotLK wise, we dont get our Misdirect until 75.... Tricks of the Trade is what it is called.... http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spells=7.4#100+2+1

this right here, how we come out of this big change, will determine if we all deserved the epics (and legendaries) that we have received.
